Ardmore is a lovely little fishing village located in west county Waterford approximately 70 kilometers SouthWest of Waterford City. It is probably best known in the area for its beautiful beach and for its Cemetery, which houses the grave of St. Declan. Lismore, one of the most historic towns in county Waterford, is probably best known for St. Carthage’s Cathedral and for Lismore Castle, the Irish home of the Dukes of Devonshire. It was also once home to Sir Walter Raleigh. In this episode, we talk about the day we spent visiting Ardmore and Lismore and discuss what there is to see and do in the area. (more…)
